My fifth album in the Sunday Morning Jam series, in a new jacket and with a new name, but oh so part of the original series. Renditions of the jazz classics: Afternoon in Paris, Lament, of the popsongs Feeling Good (Nina Simone), Sometimes It Snows In April (Prince), Different Corner (George Michael), If I Ain’t Got You (Alicia Keys), and original tunes: Shelter, Sunday Morning Ease, It’s Rare, Moonlight Baron and The Princess Of Eureka Springs.
When I first made my rendition of Prince’s song ‘Sometimes It Snows In April’ on youtube in April 2013, I received an email from Paisley Park studios with 2 weeks, informing me that nobody was allowed to cover Prince’s material. I replied with a plea that I had only recorded this version as a tribute to the father of a dear friend whom had passed away and that I wasn’t intending to make any money with this recording. 2 weeks later my version was reinstated on Youtube. When on April 21, 2016 Prince passed away this version became a tribute to the maestro himself and many found this recording on Youtube to be a soothing comfort. This is the first time I’m releasing this version on Spotify.
